4th and 5th November, oh shit - did we get wet. The rain was never ending and the trail proved a good one for testing the rain gear that worked and that that did not!
As it turns out, it does not matter how much money you spend on your boots - if you spend seven hours walking upstream (the path was turned into a stream with all the rain) - your feet will get wet! Many an inventive measure was taken on day two to stay warm and dry. The conditions made this a tough hike but we all made it - bring on Kili

The balcony quickly turned into a drying rack for all the sodden clothes.

Inventive measures to keep socks dry.

Ian, Mr Bean and Sandy - happy to have finished the long day.

Thomas in his winter gear with Mrs Bean showing us how cold it really was!

The green square is the hut taken from half way up day two's ascent.
