Arangieskop Weekend Trail

This trail is situated in the picturesque Langeberg Mountains behind the village of Robertson. The first day of the hike lead us up a valley called Donkerkloof where we saw Proteas and Nerines as well as a rich variety of other flowers and birds. Once at the crest of the mountain, we were treated to breathtaking views of the Koo Valley to the north and Dassieshoek to the south. The hut is a real gem – one of the finest in the Western Cape - with it’s own fireplace, hot shower, flushing toilet and awesome setting! The next day the trail lead us a short way up to Arangieskop (the highest part of the Langeberg) and down to the start via another beautiful valley.
