Newlands Forest

What started out as a short stroll, soon turned into a lovely 2 hour walk. Sarah did really well! We walked the standard circuit but turned left after the first bridge and walked next to the river all the way up to the second crossing. After a dry summer it was fun walking with the river so we continued our journey alongside the river as far as we could. With Richard acting as the river man we crossed over the flowing river and made our way along the muddy path until the path met up with the steps routing down from the Wood cutters. A short walk up this path and we joined with the wood cutters to make our descent. All in all, a great walk.
